Quality Artisan Crafted Jewelry
I’ve lived in Northern California for the past 20+ years. Prior to that, I lived in Arizona and Minnesota. As I reflect on my life, I realize there has always been some form of creative outlet. As a young child, I spent many hours painting, drawing, and working with colored paper. I have always been affected by color, beautiful design, art, music and nature.
When I was 10 years old, I received my first sewing machine and started making doll clothes. I then graduated to making many of my own clothes. When I was 13 years old, I tailored my first winter coat. It was my favorite for the next few very cold Minnesota winters. Along with my four brothers, collecting rocks and arrowheads was also a favorite activity when we visited our grandparents' farm.
Early in my career, I owned an interior design studio and loved every moment of the creative process. I also dabbled in floral arranging, and acquired the jewelry-making bug when I first visited an Arizona bead store. Although I spent the next 25 years working in the business world, I maintained my love of beading and jewelry making.
I love to experiment and have learned many jewelry-making techniques over the years. Teaching classes is also something I thoroughly enjoy. Recently, I have been concentrating on free-form beading. You will see more of my free-form jewelry pieces as they become available.
When someone purchases a piece of my jewelry, I am truly humbled and honored; and I hope that each recipient feels the spirit of love and joy that goes into making each piece.
I must also thank the following people whose input was instrumental in developing our site: first, my son Steve and his financee Niki who guided me through the development process; photographer extraordinaire Teri Soares (firstname.lastname@example.org); and Mike Clemens who helped in many ways including photography. I owe you a deep debt of gratitude!
Thank you also to The Bead Gallery in Rocklin CA (www.beadgalleryusa.com) for employing me and allowing me to teach classes. They are the best! I have met many wonderful beaders there who have befriended and inspired me.
